Technology
AirLife systems treat air in sequence: each stage solves one task.

How the technology works

Select a point on the diagram to see that air treatment stage.
Stage 1/6
Prefilters
Capture large dust particles. Filtration class: F5.
02
AirLife purification stages
Prefilters
Capture large dust particles. Filtration class: F5.
Aerosol charging unit
Provides 99.8% charging efficiency for aerosols measuring 0.1–100 μm at linear airflow speeds up to 6 m/s.
Barrier HEPA filter
Captures aerosols, smoke and dust particles from 0.1 μm that may carry adsorbed odours, toxic substances and microorganisms. Filtration classes: E11–H14.
Photocatalytic filters
Completely oxidise gas-phase pollutants: unpleasant odours, toxic gases, allergens, viruses, bacteria and mould spores.
UV-A emitters
Ultraviolet radiation activates the photocatalyst. Wavelengths from 300 nm are used and are safe for people and animals.
Combined adsorption-catalytic filter
Prevents harmful substances passing through during sudden pollutant surges by adsorbing them onto a catalytically active sorbent.

Technical figures for a specific model are quoted only with reference to its equipment passport. Efficiency claims are not carried over between models.
03
Open-flame kitchen protection
A mangal, tandoor or hosper produces sparks and hot smoke. Before the main purification the airflow passes the AirLife Hydrofilter.
Open-flame cooking
Sparks, hot smoke, soot
AirLife ODG-4 Hydrofilter
Spark suppression and cooling
AirLife KFK-M
Removal of smoke, soot and odours
Treated exhaust air
The Hydrofilter is installed before the exhaust air enters the ventilation system and protects ducts and chimneys against fire.
